Following a question from Lighthouse reports about our activities and funding of Copa Cogeca’s conference, here is our statement in response:
“CropLife Europe has always fully supported the direction of travel of the Green Deal and Farm to Fork Strategy. Our position today is unchanged. We understand the need to diversify the farmer’s toolbox and decrease dependency on one tool to secure and protect yields. Also, we believe quicker access to innovation will support the transition to more sustainable farming methods. Our ambition is to help European farmers in this transition. We want to provide the most extensive toolbox for them to choose their preferred production model, be it innovative pesticides, biopesticides or plant biotechnology solutions supported by digital agronomy“
