Let’s keep Europe growing: Ensuring a sustainable and productive future for European agriculture, from policy to practice

Europe has the capacity to improve food security and maximise the positive impact of agriculture on the environment and the economy. Yet these opportunities are not being fully exploited. Instead, European agricultural productivity is at risk, innovative solutions to fight pests and diseases are being pulled from the market, and research and development is not readily encouraged. As policymakers consider a range of new regulations affecting Europe’s agriculture sector, this workshop will look at the impact these challenges could have on the future of farming – and highlight the work already being done by industry and by farmers to make sure that productive agriculture is also sustainable in a way that benefits us all.
