Croplife Europe has a new DG

Olivier de Matos is the new Director General of Croplife Europe.

Olivier comes to CropLife Europe from ECETOC, the European Centre for Ecotoxicology and Toxicology of Chemicals, where he spent 4 years as Secretary General leading the association and promoting its scientific programme activities and initiatives. Before that he held various leadership positions at Burson-Marsteller (now BCW) where he worked for more than 15 years.

‘I am excited to join such a great team and a dynamic industry; an industry which provides farmers with much needed integrated crop protection solutions to produce food using less resources. I am delighted to represent a sector that is working hard to address global challenges such as climate change and food security in a sustainable way. With our 2030 Commitments we, Croplife Europe and its members, will continue to drive change and contribute to the ambitious objectives of the European Green Deal.
