Jean-Philippe Azoulay, previously with Dupont, and former President of ECPA, takes the helm as Director General of ECPA today. Jean-Charles Bocquet, Director General of ECPA since 2013, recently informed the ECPA Board of Directors of his plan to retire on October 31, 2016. Prior to being Global Division Leader of Dupont’s Nutrition division, Jean-Philippe was Regional Director of their European Crop Protection business. Jean-Philippe will start as Director General-elect effective today, he will then have the time to partner with Jean-Charles on transition plans before the General Assembly confirms his role of Director General formally on November 24, 2016. Commenting on his appointment Azoulay said: “I am grateful to the Board of Directors for giving me this opportunity and pleased to have been chosen as the next Director General, ECPA. I am proud of the contribution the crop protection industry makes to sustainable agriculture and I know that we have a dynamic industry that is always looking to improve itself and meet the public’s expectations. We have a truly exciting future and I am honoured to lead the association forward.” Jean-Philippe’s broad experience across the business gives him both historical perspective and an extensive view of the way the industry operates. He has worked across multiple functions including Sales, Finance, Commercial, Manufacturing and General Management as well as several Dupont business segments. He has an MBA in Finance and Economics, as well as a Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
