Olivier de Matos is the new Director General of Croplife Europe.
Olivier comes to CropLife Europe from ECETOC, the European Centre for Ecotoxicology and Toxicology of Chemicals, where he spent 4 years as Secretary General leading the association and promoting its scientific programme activities and initiatives. Before that he held various leadership positions at Burson-Marsteller (now BCW) where he worked for more than 15 years.
‘I am excited to join such a great team and a dynamic industry; an industry which provides farmers with much needed integrated crop protection solutions to produce food using less resources. I am delighted to represent a sector that is working hard to address global challenges such as climate change and food security in a sustainable way. With our 2030 Commitments we, Croplife Europe and its members, will continue to drive change and contribute to the ambitious objectives of the European Green Deal.“
