CropLife Europe welcomes the European Parliament’s adoption of their position on the Commission proposal for a regulation on statistics on agricultural input and output (SAIO).
Reacting to the news, CropLife Europe’s Senior Communications Manager Anika Gatt Seretny said, “we need data for appropriate policy tools.” She added, “having more precise information on where and how plant protection products are being used is crucial for effective policy making. SAIO will allow our industry to understand the situation on the ground better and will help in understanding how Integrated Pest Management principles are really applied.”
