Farmer’s Horizon – Ipsos Survey

Description

A new Ipsos survey of farmers in nine EU Member States reveals that farmers’ capacity to invest is deteriorating, limiting their ability to adopt new technologies and farm competitively. The study, conducted one year after Europe’s mass farmers’ protests, highlights a growing frustration across the sector.

Commissioned by CropLife Europe, the Ipsos survey shows that while half of European farmers participated in the 2023–2024 protests, 91% remain dissatisfied with the political response at both EU and national levels. Despite public sympathy and increased attention to their concerns, farmers report little concrete change in policy or income.
