On the 7th of June a number of NGOs have published a campaign to call for phasing out pesticides. CropLife Europe issued the following response to the campaign:
The transition to a resilient and sustainable agriculture system is a shared goal by our sector and supports the EU Green Deal and Farm to Fork ambition. This will only be achieved through innovation.
We are investing €14bn by 2030 into innovative farming technologies such as biopesticides and digital and precision agriculture to help EU farmers on this journey.
EU farmers must have access to a full toolbox of crop protection solutions since pests and diseases are a constant threat in food production.
